چکیده
بشر برای گره گشایی از بسیاری از مشکلات خود به ساختن تکنولوژی روی آورده است. تکنولوژی اگرچه در حل بسیاری از این مشکلات مؤثر بوده، اما خود باعث به وجود آمدن بحران‌هایی نیز شده است. از این رو، برخی از فلاسفه به تأمل درباره تکنولوژی پرداخته‌اند و علت بحران‌آفرینی تکنولوژی و راه‌های برون‌رفت از این بحران‌ها را مورد مداقه قرار داده‌اند. یکی از این فلاسفه، آلبرت بورگمان، فیلسوف آمریکایی است. بورگمان ایده اشیاء و افعال کانونی خود را برای بحران‌زدایی از تکنولوژی پیشنهاد می‌کند. در این مقاله به بررسی این ایده و انتقادات واردشده بر آن می‌پردازیم. سپس، پاسخ بورگمان به این انتقادات را ارزیابی میکنیم و در پایان، با دسته بندی نقدها و پاسخهای آنها، شکافهای موجود در نظریه بورگمان را شناسایی میکنیم.

Borgmann's Philosophy of Technology: A Critical Review

Mankind has turned to technology to solve many of its problems. Although technology has been effective in solving many of these problems, it has also caused some crises. Hence, some philosophers have been reflecting on technology and have examined the cause of technology crises and the ways out of these crises. One of these philosophers is the American philosopher, Albert Borgmann. Borgmann proposes his idea of focal things and practices to solve technological crises. This paper examines this idea and its criticisms. Then, we evaluate Borgmann's responses to these criticisms, and finally, by categorizing these criticisms and responses, we identify the gaps in Borgmann's theory
