«چندجهانی»، علمی یا فلسفی؟
ثابتهای بنیادی در مدلهای استاندارد فیزیک ذرات و کیهانشناسی حیات در جهان ما را توضیح میدهند. هر گونه تغییری در این ثابتها حیات را غیرممکن میکند. یکی از راههای توجیه این شرایط ایدة جهانهای متعددی است که قوانین فیزیکی در هر یک از آنها مستقلاً ساختاربندی شده است و ما در یکی از آنها، که با پیچیدگی سازگار است، قرار گرفتهایم. از سوی دیگر ایدة چندجهانی، به طور طبیعی از بسیاری مدلهای فیزیکی، اعم از اینکه مورد پذیرش قطعی قرار گرفته باشند (مثل نظریة نسبیت عام) یا در مقام نظر باشند (مثل نظریة ریسمان) نیز نتیجه میشود. با توجه به مشاهدهناپذیری و آزمونناپذیری جهانهای متعدد موجود در این نظریهها، پرسش اصلی آن است که آیا چندجهانی معیار رایج علم را ارضا میکند؟ در این مقاله ضمن بحث در این باره، راههای متفاوتی را که منجر به علمی قلمداد کردن این ایده میشود، بررسی میکنیم.

خروج از دوگانگی تکنولوژی خودمختار و تکنولوژی به مثابة وسیلة صرف؛ بر اساس دیدگاه برونو لاتور
برونو لاتور با بازتعریف انسان و مصنوعات و دفاع از ناهمجنس بودن و چندرگه بودن آنها، و لحاظ کردن مصنوعات به عنوان واسطههای واقعی و نه وسیلة صرفهای صرف، از جایگاه آنها به عنوان شهروندان جامعه در کنار انسانها و اشیا دفاع میکند. وی با این کار ما را از دوگانگی تکنولوژی خودمختار یا تکنولوژی به مثابة وسیلة صرف خارج میکند و لذا از فضای سلطه (سلطة انسان بر غیرانسان یا غیرانسان بر انسان) میرهاند.

نقد کوهن بر تجربهگرایی
فلسفة علم کوهن را آغاز دورة پساپوزیتیویستی دانستهاند. در این نوشتار با مرور نقدهای کوهن بر تجربهگرایی خواهیم دید او در این نقدها با تضعیف نقش معرفتی و توجیهی تجربه باعث تقویت نسبیگرایی و بسط آن به حوزة علوم طبیعی میشود. با اینکه کوهن نقدهایی جدی بر حلقة وین دارد، اما همزمان برخی از اصول پوزیتیویستی آنها را حفظ میکند؛ لذا برخی از مفسران کوهن نسبیگرایی را نتیجة منطقی اصول پوزیتیویستی میدانند و بر این اساس دیدگاه کوهن را تداوم پوزیتیویسم معرفی میکنند. از نظر آنها کوهن با مبانی اندیشة حلقة وین موافق است و صرفاً برای حل پارهای از ناسازگاریها آن را بازسازی میکند. شواهد این ادعا را در پایان این نوشتار بررسی خواهیم کرد.

تحلیل رئالیسم معرفتی از دیدگاه لری لائودن آیا رئالیسم معرفتی تبیین صحیحی از پیشرفت علم ارائه میدهد؟
در دهة 1970 میلادی میان رئالیستها و پسارئالیستها مناقشهای حول محور دو پرسش مطرح بود؛ هدف معرفتی علم چیست و چگونه میتوان پیشرفت یا توفیق علم را به بهترین نحو تبیین کرد؟ یکی از مهمترین رویکردها نگرش رئالیسم متکی به صدق نظریهها بود؛ پاسخ رئالیستها بر مبنای رویکرد مطابقت با واقع تبیین میشد و تاریخ پیشرفت علم را دلیل این امر میدانستند. در مقابل، برخی نظیر لائودن دو مفهوم توفیق در علم و صدق را از یکدیگر متمایز میکردند؛ لائودن با بهرهگیری از تاریخ فلسفة علم رئالیسم معرفتی را از دو نقطه آماج حمله قرار داد؛ اولاً از نظر او مفهوم صدق تقریبی یک نظریه یا پیشروی به سمت صدق دارای تعریفی روشن از جانب رئالیستها نبود، ثانیاً ارتباط میان صدق تقریبی نظریه و پیشرفت علم بهصراحت تبیین نشده است. در این نوشتار دو نقد بنیادین لائودن بر رئالیسم معرفتی تبیین و بررسی خواهد شد.

نقد و بررسی چالشهای علم مدرن از دیدگاه دکتر سید حسین نصر
این مقاله ضمن واکاوی ابعاد گوناگون چالشهای نظام معرفتی علم مدرن و تأثیر آن بر حیات فعلی بشر، به بررسی دقیقتر این مسئله از نگاه سید حسین نصر میپردازد. در نگاه نصر، علم مدرن برخلاف نظر بسیاری از دانشمندان علوم تجربی، فارغ از ارزش و بیطرف نیست، بلکه دارای نظام ارزشی خاص خود است که جلوات این نظام ارزشی را در تکنولوژی مدرن میتوان دید که آثار آن از بین رفتن روح تقدس در بشر و ملالآور شدن زندگی روزمره است.
وی معتقد است برخلاف علم مدرن، در علم سنتی دوران تمدن اسلامی، بسیاری از این مشکلات وجود نداشت.
او پیشنهاد میکند، در مواجهه با علم و تکنولوژی مدرن ابتدا بایستی به صورت عمیق فلسفه و مبانی علم مدرن را درک کرد و سپس با استفاده از مبانی اسلامی خویش، به تولید دستگاهی جدید برای علمورزی و ساخت تکنولوژی روی آورد

چیستی نظریههای علمی: رویکردهای نحوی و معناشناختی
در این مقاله دو دیدگاه عمده که فلاسفة علم از قرن بیستم تاکنون در مورد نظریههای علمی داشتهاند معرفی خواهد شد. این دو دیدگاه یکی «دیدگاه متداول» یا رویکرد نحوی به علم است، و دیگری دیدگاه معناشناختی به نظریههای علمی است. با این حال عمدة تمرکز این مقاله در معرفی دیدگاه معناشناختی به علم خواهد بود. رویکرد اول اکنون چندان طرفداری در میان فلاسفة علم ندارد و عمدتاً متعلق به پوزیتیویستهای منطقی بوده است. دو اشکال عمدة این دیدگاه، یکی غیرعملی بودن صورتبندی نظریههای علمی در زبان منطق مرتبة اول است و دیگری ارائة تبیینی نامناسب از مفهوم مدل و کاربرد آن در علم است. ملاحظه خواهد شد که با معرفی مفهوم ساختار و نسخهای از دیدگاه معناشناختی که داکوستا و فرنچ ارائه میدهند، که در آن از مفهوم صدق جزئی استفاده میکنند، بسیاری از مشکلات دیدگاه متداول از جمله دو اشکال فوق برطرف خواهد شد.

صوریسازی مکانیک لاگرانژی و ناوردایی معادلات لاگرانژ
بر اساس دیدگاه تجربهگرایان منطقی، که به دیدگاه مورد قبول شهرت دارد، نظریة علمی مجموعهای از گزارههاست که در منطق مرتبة اول صورتبندی میشوند. مطابق با دیدگاه رقیب که با نام دیدگاه معنایی یا غیرگزارهای شناخته میشود، نظریة علمی مجموعهای از مدلهاست. در این مقاله سعی میشود نشان داده شود که دیدگاه مورد قبول نمیتواند الگوی قابل قبولی از تعین نیروهای تعمیمیافته در مکانیک کلاسیک ارائه کند. بر این اساس در قسمت دوم، از ناوردایی معادلات لاگرانژ و استلزامات آن بحث میشود. در آخر این بخش این نکته مورد تأکید قرار میگیرد که ناوردایی معادلات لاگرانژ مستلزم این است که مقادیر فیزیکی همجنس همبُعد نباشند. در بخش سوم، آخرین نسخة دیدگاه مورد قبول معرفی میشود. سپس صوریسازی مکانیک لاگرانژی در این دیدگاه ارزیابی و مشاهده میشود که این دیدگاه نمیتواند مقادیر فیزیکی همجنس را به صورت یکسان متعین کند. در بخش آخر، دیدگاهِ معناییِ سوپیز ـ اسنید معرفی میشود و نسخة ساختاری مکانیک لاگرانژی مطرح خواهد شد. درنهایت نشان داده میشود که این دیدگاه میتواند مقادیر فیزیکی همجنس را به صورت یکسان متعین کند
